Falcon's Fire golf pro Hughes named among America's Top 25 instructors – Osceola News-Gazette

Osceola County is home to one of the nation’s top golf instructors.

Golf Tips magazine recently named John Hughes, based at Falcon’s Fire Golf Club one of the Top 25 Instructors in America for 2019-2020.

Hughes, a PGA Master teaching professional, also coached the Celebration High girls golf team this past fall.

As a part of that Top 25 group, Hughes will collaborate with Golf Tips to provide video content, lessons and other written content for for all aspects of the game from fundamentals to course management, equipment fitting to the mental game. A piece that ran earlier in the week was by Hughes called “The Art of Feel Putting.”

Hughes, the 2014 North Florida Chapter Professional of the Year, joins two dozen other golf teachers to form what Golf Tips Editor Vic Williams has called “the ultimate teaching team” to the bi-monthly print magazine and its online portal (www.golftipsmag.com).

“I’m honored to share this honor with the others named to the list.  The depth of talent, knowledge, and experience of the entire list is impressive,” Hughes said. “It’s a privilege to be part of this elite group of coaches, which all golfers will have the opportunity to take advantage of within future issues of Golf Tips Magazine and within its digital offerings.

“I’m grateful to Madavor Media as well as Vic Williams for selecting me to contribute to their great publication. The past few years have been a great opportunity to provide content to the magazine.  I’m looking forward to producing even more content in the future, both in print and video formats.”

In a press release Williams said its Top 25 list of instructors is a collection “of the best and brightest minds in the American golf teaching business.”

“Since 1989 Golf Tips has built a strong reputation as the go-to source for straightforward, accessible and indispensable instruction for golfers of all ages and abilities,” he said. “The new Top 25 will only deepen that reputation while helping our readers enjoy the game more than ever. We are proud to include John in the Golf Tips Top 25 family. This is an exciting time for Golf Tips, for the thousands of loyal readers who demand the best golf instruction we can provide, and for the game of golf in general. John and his Top 25 colleagues are committed to making Golf Tips the best it can be.”

Hughes said he’s all for doing what he can to help grow a game that, while plateauing in popularity of late still counts millions worldwide as active players.

“Golf Tips Magazine is the one remaining publication truly dedicated to improving golfers of all skill levels,” he said. “The majority of each issue is instructional content, covering every aspect of playing the game.  It’s the contributions of my fellow Top 25 members that allow us all to grow the game and lower all golfers’ scores.”
