SHARON, Pa. – The Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its second annual MembershipFest celebration Friday at Webb Winery, Hermitage.
The party, which will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., provides a casual setting for guest businesses to meet chamber members, enjoy a free lunch and take home a special gift.
“There are a lot of exciting things going on in the Shenango Valley and we wanted to create an event to help get the word out to our entire business community,” said Sherris Moreira, executive director of the Shenango Valley Chamber, in a statement. “We thought we’d create an opportunity for them to come out, meet our chamber board, enjoy lunch on us, enjoy some golf and other games, as well as the opportunity to connect to our business community in casual setting.”
A hot dog lunch will be cooked on a firetruck that includes a grill, while video games and music will provided by National Fuel & Water Repair of Youngtown, Ohio. Dessert will be provided by Penn State Creamery and beverages and snacks provided by Sam’s Club in Warren, Ohio. Vegetarian hot dogs will be available and Webb Winery will offer wine samples.
As part of the event, the Tam O’Shanter Golf Course driving range will be free to guests with golf tips provided by the course professional. Other activities will include a peace rocks painting table provided by Random Acts of Artists, lawn Yahtzee, cornhole and more.
“No guest businesses will be asked to provide anything beyond filling out a very brief form that we’ll follow up on later,” Moreira said. “We would rather them have the chance to kick the tires and see for themselves the business growth opportunities they could have with the Shenango Valley Chamber.”
Each business guest will receive a swag bag with information, promotional items and a gift. Each Shenango Valley Chamber member that brings a business guest will also get a special gift. In addition, prizes will be given away every 15 minutes.
