The second leg of the FedExCup Playoffs picks up on Thursday with a star-studded cast set to take to the course for a weekend’s worth of action at the BMW Championship in Owings Mills, Maryland. With most of golf’s stars set for play, the weekend figures to be a pivotal one with the FedExCup prize of $15 million awaiting the winner at the end of the three-tournament playoffs which concludes next weekend.The field features World No. 1 Jon Rahm looking to go back-to-back at the event, Tony Finau on the hunt after his first win since 2016 last weekend at The Northern Trust and Dustin Johnson, the 2020 FedExCup winner, looking to establish himself to potentially repeat. Finau and Rahm will enter the week 1-2 in the FedEx Cup standings, and a strong showing could put them in the driver’s seat for the lucrative prize.With so much at stake, there’s sure to be an atmosphere akin to a major championship given the purse that’s there for the taking at the end of the playoff rainbow.
