Jordan Spieth has played well at Colonial throughout his career and his performance this week at the Charles Schwab Challenge in Forth Worth, Texas, has been no exception. The Dallas native showed his familiarity with one of his favorite courses Friday with a 4-under 66 to take the lead after Round 2 at 11 under. After his bogey-free round, Spieth, a 2016 winner at Colonial, will start Saturday’s Round 3 one shot ahead of Jason Kokrak, who had his second consecutive round of 65 on Friday. Sergio Garcia, who was the first-round co-leader with Spieth, finished Round 2 tied for third at 8 under with Sebastian Munoz and Patton Kizzire, who both shot 65 on Friday. Munoz had six birdies on the back nine, including the final three holes after a double bogey at No. 15.
