2021 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live coverage, golf scores, FedEx Cup Playoffs updates in Round 2

The 2021 Tour Championship takes shape sooner than most PGA Tour events because of the staggered starting scores, and this one already has a good narrative going. Patrick Cantlay, the leader entering the week, will try to hold off a host of challengers after firing a 3-under 67 to run his score to 13 under through 18 holes. Top amongst his contenders is Jon Rahm, who put together yesterday’s best round to sit at 11 under and two shots back of the leader. Bryson DeChambeau (-8), Harris English (-8) and Justin Thomas (-7) — along with several others that will likely emerge as Round 2 wears on — are also in contention.East Lake Golf Club is no easy task. The two best scores on Thursday came from Rahm and Billy Horschel, who both shot 65. Hideki Matsuyama fired the worst score with a 77. Oh, and there’s $46 million to be sorted out over these next three days with nearly a third of it going to the winner of the tournament. With all those stakes — not to mention Ryder Cup implications! — the final three rounds at East Lake should be as fun as the first one.CBS Sports will be with you the entire way Friday updating this story with the latest scores, analysis and highlights from Round 2 of the Tour Championship.
