Lady Bruin Golf Back to State

We continue our look back at some of the top sports stories in 2022, as we have our best-of series to look at the local sports that stood out over the past calendar year.

Bartlesville High girl’s golf team made it back to state for the second straight season, on the back of Lisa Brown, as the Lady Bruins solidified themselves as one of the best programs on this side of the state.

The entire BHS club finished third at Regionals at Ponca City Country Club in late-April to qualify for state.. Brown shot a 78 to take second individually.

Before the 6A State Tournament, head girl’s golf coach Carl Holmes talked about the impact that another run to state made on his team and program.

Heading into the event Brown had a chance to finish strong individually.

Holmes talked about her season thus far before the state event.

Brown ended up as an all-stater in golf. She finished ninth at state this past spring with a two-day score of 161. Her shot a second-day 78 in-order to get into the top-10. Brown was also Frontier Valley Conference champ.
