MANISTEE – The Manistee golf team finished second in its home conference meet on Tuesday afternoon, trailing Ludington by 21 strokes (194-215) and leading Western Michigan Christian (222).
On a cold, wet, and windy day the conditions weren’t ideal, but all three teams worked through it and were successful in their own right.
Leading the way for the Chippewas was senior Sara Danison, who shot a 47, followed by Kendal Waligorski (54), freshmen Kate Somsel and Sara Huber (both shot a 57), Olivia Vasquez (60), Mackenzie King (64), Emalyn Nelson (66), Megan Rochman (+13), and Sadie Verheek (+14).
The Chips head to Ludington on Friday, Sept. 24, which is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.
