Men’s Golf Places 18th At Daniel Island Intercollegiate

Willis Gaer led Eastern Kentucky and tied for 52nd overall.

Final ResultsDANIEL ISLAND, S.C. – Eastern Kentucky’s men’s golf team finished 18th at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate hosted by Charleston Southern on Sunday and Monday.
 
The teams competed on the par 72, 7,446-yard course at the Daniel Island Golf Club.
 
EKU carded rounds of 309, 310 and 312 for a 54-hole total of 931.  The Colonels were one shot better than Fort Wayne in 19th and 15 shots behind 17th place USC Upstate.
 
Seton Hall (858) captured the team title by four shots over second place South Carolina (862).  The College of Charleston (864) and Florida State (864) tied for third.  Virginia (870) rounded out the top-5.
 
Willis Gaer led Eastern Kentucky with a three-round total of 226 (+10) and tied for 52nd overall.
 
EKU has concluded the fall portion of its 2021-22 schedule.  The team will begin spring competition on Feb. 19 at The Invitational at Savannah Harbor.
