Picture: Richard PonterSouth Cliff Golf Club also re-opened on Monday with the first tee shot at 6am.South Cliff secretary Shaun Smith said: “Along with all golf courses in England, Scarborough South Cliff Golf Club was delighted to welcome back its members and visitors on Monday.“All players followed England Golf’s guidelines for a ‘Covid Safe’ return to the sport and it was great to see a smiling faces with everyone happy to be back playing.“The greens staff have worked incredibly hard to present the course in excellent condition for the reopening and we received lots of great feedback.“Almost every tee time was taken on Monday with Club Champion Tommy Risker striking the first tee shot at 6am.“Last year over 140 new members joined the club and with restrictions on some sports still in place, we are expecting another very busy year.
