STEPHENVILLE – The Tarleton Texans will begin golf practice this week in preparation for their 2021 fall tournament schedule, which was announced on Wednesday.There are four tournaments slated for the fall campaign, beginning with the Missouri State Payne Stewart Memorial at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Missouri, on Sept. 13-14. The spring schedule will be announced at a later date.On Sept. 27-28, the Texans will play the closest tournament to home base, as they’ll head to Raven Nest Golf Club in Huntsville, Texas, to compete in the 2021 Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational.The last two tournaments will be separated by a week in mid-October, with the Lady Red Wolves Classic at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on Oct. 11-12, and the Colonel Wollenberg Ptarmigan Ram Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Colorado.There are four returners of the seven Texans on the roster – Alejandra Cambronero, Beatrice Grise, Marianella Moreschi and Sofia Rodriguez Perez. All seven Texans are underclassmen, with freshmen Mathilde Brogens, Angela Inocian and Bridgett Joeris joining the team.Head coach Isabel Jimenez is entering her fourth season at the helm. In the shortened 2020-21 season, the Texans played five tournaments, winning the Prairie View A&M Invitational by 20 strokes.
