Tennessee Wraps up Play at Jim West Challenge


SAN MARCOS, Texas – The Tennessee women’s golf team concluded the Jim West Challenge Monday, with freshman Bailey Davis recording a top-20 individual finish.
 
Davis—in her fourth collegiate tournament—logged the first two under-par rounds of her career and an even-par round three for a 54-hole score of 4-under, 212. She began the final round with three consecutive birdies (holes 16-18) and shot even-par (72) on the day to finish tied for 17th.
 
Sophomore Vanessa Gilly carded a 76 (+4) Monday, finishing the event tied for 41st at 5-over, 221. Lady Vol junior Nicole Whiston shot 6-over, 78, while senior Hadley Walts was +7 (79) in the third round. They each finished tied for 71st place at +18 (234) overall as Tennessee finished 15th as a team.
