UT-Arlington senior Caleb Hicks, Texas senior Parker Coody and SMU junior Ollie Osborne advanced to match play Wednesday in the storm-delayed U.S. Amateur at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pa. Their matches will resume Thursday morning.Lake Highlands and UTA grad Brad Mason was eliminated on the first hole of a 12-man playoff for one spot in match play.Hicks, an Arlington Lamar graduate, shot 2-under 138 to tie for 13th. Coody (140) tied for 29th. Osborne (143) was a runner-up in last year’s tournament. The other player with North Texas ties to qualify for match play was Arizona junior Chase Sienkiewicz of Frisco.Plano’s Pierceson Coody (144), the No. 2 amateur in the world, missed the playoff by one shot.
