Women’s golf 2nd at Ithaca College Invitational | Titantown Sports

ITHACA, N.Y – The Westminster College women’s golf team stood in second place following Saturday’s opening round of the Ithaca College Invitational.The 2-day event is scheduled to continue Sunday.At par-72, 5,642-yard Ranic Golf Club, host Ithaca led the team standings at 313, followed by Westminster (328), Allegheny (338), College of St. Rose (364), and William Smith College (416).
Ithaca’s Rheanna Decrow carded a 3-over-par 75, 1 stroke better than College of St. Rose’s Erika Fuentes after 18 holes.For the Titans of taskmaster Matt Torrence, senior Kasey Clifford (Ocean City, N.J./Ocean City High) carded an 80 to tie for 6th on the opening-day leaderboard. She was followed by junior Sierra Richard (Beaver Falls, Pa./Blackhawk High) and junior Morgan Byers (Venetia, Pa./Peters Twp. High), both of whom shot 82 to tie for 8th, and first-year standouts Alyssa Rapp and Olivia Kana, both of whom shot 84 to tie for 13th.
