The Youngstown State women’s golf team is scheduled to compete in seven events across five different states during the spring portion of its 2021-22 season. Head Coach Nate Miklos announced the team’s complete spring schedule on Wednesday.
The Penguins will begin the spring campaign on Feb. 6-7 with the Motor City Cup hosted by Oakland at Mission Inn Resort’s Las Colinas Course in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. The tournament will be an eight-team match play event.
YSU will then travel to Mount Pleasant, S.C., for the Rivertowne Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern at Rivertowne Country Club on Feb. 28-March 1. The Penguins’ third event of the spring will be the Pizza Hut-Lady Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Southern Utah at Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah, on March 10-12.
Later in the month, Youngstown State will take part in the Nevel Meade Collegiate hosted by Cleveland State at Nevel Meade Golf Course in Prospect, Ky., on March 21-22. YSU’s first event in April will be the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio, on April 9-10. The Penguins will then play host to the YSU Spring Invitational at Youngstown Country Club on April 15.
The 2022 Horizon League Golf Championships will take place April 24-26 at Mission Inn Resort’s Las Colinas Course in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla. The NCAA Regionals are slated for May 9-11 at six different regional sites.
