Women’s Golf Unveils 2021-22 Schedule

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – A challenging slate of 10 tournaments is on the docket for the UNCW women’s golf team during the 2021-22 season.
 
The schedule features a pair of home tournaments in addition to the Colonial Athletic Association Championship in nearby Southport, N.C., in April.
 
UNCW will open its 2021-22 campaign with two tournaments in September, competing in the William & Mary Invitational (Sept. 12-13) and the Furman Paladin Invitational (Sept. 24-26).
 
The fall portion of the slate continues in October with two more events. After participating in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational hosted by the University of North Carolina on Oct. 15-17, the Seahawks stage The Landfall Tradition during the final weekend of the month at The Country Club of Landfall’s Pete Dye Course.
 
Coach Cindy Ho’s squad begins the spring part of its calendar during the final days of January when the Seahawks venture to Orlando, Fla., for the UCF Challenge on Jan. 30-Feb. 1. They will also compete at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational on Feb. 18-20 in Greensboro, Ga.
 
The month of March opens with the annual River Landing Classic hosted by UNCW on Mar. 7-8 in Wallace, N.C., at River Landing Golf Course. The Seahawks close out the month by heading to Sunset, N.C., for the Clemson Tiger Invitational on Mar. 25-27.
 
A short trip to Greenville, N.C., for the East Carolina Ironwood Invitational on Apr. 4-5 follows for the Seahawks before they participate in the CAA Championship at St. James Plantation’s Reserve Course on Apr. 15-17.
