2021 Tour Championship leaderboard: Live coverage, golf scores, FedEx Cup Playoffs updates in Round 1


The final event of the 2020-21 PGA Tour season and FedEx Cup Playoffs begins Thursday as 30 star golfers tee off at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Not only is the 2021 Tour Championship title on the line, golfers will be competing for their share of an astounding $46 million pool. Whoever finishes first in the FedEx Cup standings at the end of competition Sunday will win $15 million with the top eight finishers all receiving $1 million payouts.Patrick Cantlay, winner of the BMW Championship last week, opens Round 1 on Thursday at 10 under, two shots clear of the field. Tony Finau (-8), Bryson DeChambeau (-7), Jon Rahm (-6) and Cameron Smith (-5) all begin within five shots of Cantlay, while the other 25 golfers in the field — including big names like Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy — have a lot of catching up to do over the ensuing 72 holes.
