He added: “We’re all longing to get back to normality and golf is a great way of getting out and socialising again. You can meet up with your friends at a safe distance and spend a few hours with them and enjoy yourself.”
As of the 3 April, Keswick Climbing Wall will also be open for outdoor activities again. However, it won’t be business as usual.
Newlands Adventure Centre and Keswick Climbing Wall Director, Debbie Beament, said: “While we are delighted that things are starting to return to normal and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back to adventuring with us, it has been a difficult year for the outdoor industry and residential centres in particular.
“Even with schools now being able to take pupils on a residential course, many are not due to the lateness of the government approval, timescale in organising a trip at such short notice and a reluctance of parents.”
